Job Overview
You’ll be responsible for creating clear, concise, and developer-friendly documentation for Flames’ AI coding tools. From onboarding guides to API docs, you’ll translate complex technical concepts into structured, easy-to-follow content that helps engineers quickly understand and adopt our product.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how developers think and prefers clarity over fluff. Experience writing for developer tools or B2B SaaS products is highly valued.
What You'll Do
Work closely with engineering and product teams to understand features and translate them into clear documentation
Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including API docs, guides, tutorials, and FAQs
Improve onboarding documentation to help users get started quickly and successfully
Organize and structure documentation for scalability and ease of navigation
Write release notes, changelogs, and product updates
Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and formatting across all documentation
Continuously audit and improve existing documentation based on user feedback
Contribute to knowledge base and help center content
What We're Looking For
Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear documentation
2+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in a SaaS or developer-focused company
Familiarity with developer tools, APIs, or coding environments
Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Notion, Confluence, Git-based docs, or similar)
Basic understanding of HTML, Markdown, or developer workflows
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
