Job Overview

You’ll design the core product experience at Flames — shaping how developers interact with our AI coding tools from first touch to daily use. This isn’t about making things “look good.” It’s about building fast, intuitive, and highly functional experiences that developers trust.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and growth to turn complex workflows into simple, elegant interfaces. If you understand how technical users think and care deeply about usability, performance, and clarity, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Design intuitive workflows for complex developer-facing features

• Own end-to-end product design — from discovery and wireframes to high-fidelity UI and final handoff

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define problems and ship solutions quickly

• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions

• Create and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries

• Continuously improve onboarding, activation, and core product experiences

• Use data and user feedback to iterate and refine designs

• Ensure consistency, usability, and performance across the product

What We're Looking For

• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product thinking and shipped work

• 4+ years of experience in product design (preferably in B2B SaaS or developer tools)

• Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive user experiences

• Proficiency in tools like Figma and modern design workflows

• Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design

• Experience working closely with engineering teams in fast-paced environments

• Strong communication skills — you can clearly explain design decisions
